LECET Construction Market Representatives Attend Career Fair Hosted by Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition and Fairfax County Workforce Innovation and Skills Hub (WISH)
One of the things that we lost during the COVID-19 pandemic was the ability to attend in-person career fairs. That changed with the 2022-2023 school year, and with the school year coming to an end, we are taking a look back at the career fairs that we have attended and the students that we have met this year. With more construction jobs coming as a result of increased infrastructure funding through federal programs like the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), there is a place for students who don’t want to go to college and instead want to immediately start a career. LIUNA’s registered apprenticeship is a great transition for graduating students to learn the skills that they need for a construction career.
